Namdang Port, located in Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, is rich in seafood in harmony with the vast Cheonsu Bay, and is a tourist attraction with fresh seafood all year round, such as razor clams, black rockfish, razor clams, crabs, and shrimps, and many raw fish restaurants scattered around the area.

In the spring, you can enjoy a picnic with fresh seafood, in the summer, you can enjoy the cool sea breeze and swimming, and in the fall, you can feel the lively atmosphere of the razor clam festival.

In particular, the fish market here is famous for the festival where razor clams are grilled and fried every fall, and the winter razor clam and razor clam meat food festival is held.

The calm silver waters offer beautiful sunsets, and there are migratory birds such as black-tailed gulls, and the beautiful coastal scenery is visible at a glance.

Namdang Sunset Observatory, located right next to Namdang Port, is an observatory where you can see the beautiful sunset as its name suggests. You can arrive 30 minutes before sunset and make memories while having a cup of coffee at a nearby cafe.

Namdang Sunset Observatory, built in the middle of a long golden sandy beach, is painted red, standing out against the contrast of the sea color and the green of the nearby mountains.

The Sunset Observatory stretches out toward the sea, making you feel as if you are heading toward the sky and the sea.

Even without walking up to the observatory, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery unique to the nearby West Sea coast, delicious seasonal food, and walking along the white sand beach with your family or lover, or simply meditating while looking out at the sea, which is healing.

Also, at sunset, the sky turns red, creating a wonderful scenery.

With the sound of gentle waves, many strangely shaped rocks, and wide-open tidal flats, the beautiful coastal scenery will linger in your mind for a long time.

I visited Namdang Port last winter, and walked along the breakwater while feeling the cold sea breeze.
Namdang Port is especially beautiful at sunset.
And above all, the seafood sold at the market was fresh, cheap, and very delicious.
I ate a lot of fresh raw fish, seafood, and shabu-shabu at a restaurant recommended by a local.
To make your trip to Namdang Port more enjoyable, you should check the sunset time and festival period before your visit.
You can enjoy sightseeing with friends or family nearby on the weekend.
There are various tourist attractions in Seosan-gun and Dangjin-gun nearby, and you can create unforgettable memories.
