Located in Donghae-si, Gangwon-do, this port grew along with the development of coal mines in the Taebaek mountainous region.

It serves as an auxiliary port for Donghae Port and also serves as a tourist route connecting Ulleungdo and Dokdo.

It opened in 1937 and started as the first trade port on the East Coast, but has now changed to a fishing base on the East Coast.

If you go to Mukho Port early in the morning when fishing boats arrive, you can buy freshly caught sashimi at the fish market.

It is also unique to watch the scene of the fish being auctioned.

There are also stores where you can shop for dried fish and other items.

Mukho Lighthouse, a manned lighthouse built in June 1963, is located on Dongmunsan Mountain in Mukho Port.

The 12m-tall, two-story circular reinforced concrete structure is built, and the pure white lighthouse blends in well with the blue sea, creating a clear and clean image.

There is a small park around the lighthouse where you can see the ocean at a glance.

Mukho Port is a port with a lovely name.

It is adjacent to the east coast, and as expected of a port, if you go to the beach early in the morning, you can meet merchants selling seafood.

The friendly voices of Gangwon-do people who attract customers can be heard.

You can also see various types of fish such as squid, rockfish, black rockfish, and pollack, as well as shellfish such as horned conch and snails, shrimp, and lobster.

In particular, they sell crabs and lobsters caught in Russia, and you can also eat fresh fish at a restaurant.

If you go up a little hill, you will be happy to see a lighthouse for the safety of ships in the distance.

It would be more necessary for safety if it is not on an island but on the beach.

There are no islands on the east coast, but among them, there are ships going to Ulleungdo, so many tourists flock there.
