Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Located on the westernmost part of Byeonsan Peninsula, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, to the right of Gyeokpo Port, it is designated as a national park.
This is a place name that collectively refers to the 1.5㎞ layered rock cliff and the sea, and is one of the Eight Scenic Views of Byeonsan.
The terrain is a Cretaceous strata of the Mesozoic Era with Precambrian granite and gneiss as the base layer.
The cliffs, eroded by seawater and deposited, look like tens of thousands of books stacked up.
The rocky cliffs with particularly developed faults and folds have formed sea caves here and there, including the Cross Cave.
The scenery is unparalleled with the surrounding white sand beach and clear water.
The name Chaeseokgang was given because it is similar to the Chaeseokgang where Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty of China drowned while drinking on a boat and trying to catch the moon floating in the river.
In the summer, it is a great place to enjoy swimming, and photography and filming are often done here because of the outstanding scenery.
If you cross the beach from Chaeseokgang and go north along the white sand beach, you will find the Red Cliffs of Jeokbyeokgang, which are made up of red rocks.
