Definition
An island made up of three strangely shaped rocks in the upper reaches of the Namhangang River in Hagoe-ri, Maepo-eup, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do.

Dodamsambong, which is considered the first of the eight scenic views of Danyang, is where Jeong Do-jeon, who contributed to the founding of the Joseon Dynasty, spent his childhood, and it is said that he was so captivated by the beauty of Dodamsambong that he named his pen name Sambong.

You can see the scenery of Dodamsambong loved by Toegye Yi Hwang, Gyeomjae Jeong Seon, and Danwon Kim Hong-do right before your eyes. The Sambong Story Hall, located within the amusement park, exhibits Danyang’s famous places as a data archive.

If you board the Hwangpo Sailboat, you can go across to Dodam Garden on the other side via Seokmun. Dodam Garden is famous for its yellow cosmos plantings.

You can fully enjoy the beauty of nature along with the scenery of Dodamsambong.

Natural environment
The cone-shaped peaks created by the karst topography, Janggunbong [Husband Peak], with its majestic appearance, stand out in the deep pond formed by the Namhangang River, and three other peaks, including Cheopbong [Daughter Peak] and Cheobong [Son Peak], stand tall. These peaks have strange and beautiful shapes and blend in with the Namhangang River to create a spectacular view. In particular, Janggunbong has a hexagonal pavilion called ‘Samdojeong’, which adds to its mysterious charm.

• Parking information for the disabled: 3 spaces available in the disabled-only parking area. There is ample space for wheelchair users in the surrounding area. Parking is available at the entrance to the tourist attraction. No ramps or steps.
• Access: There is a 10cm curb at the tourist information center in the tourist attraction. Ramps are installed at restaurants and rest areas. There are only stairs and no separate ramps on the way up to the musical fountain.
• Braille block: Restroom entrance
• Public transportation: Public transportation is available to the area around the information board. No low-floor buses at Dodamsangbong Station.
