1 Introduction to Taejongdae.
Taejongdae is a famous tourist attraction located in Dongsam-dong, Yeongdo-gu, Busan Metropolitan City. Yeongdo-gu itself is an island, and it is located at the southern tip.
It is well known for its beautiful scenery with lush forests and strangely shaped rocks in harmony with the South Sea, and it is located right after passing Busan Bridge.
Taejongdae Resort is centered around the highest peak and has 120 species of trees including pine trees, and it is a famous spot where you can see steep cliffs, strangely shaped rocks, and the wide open Korea Strait at a glance along the coast.
On a clear day, you can see Tsushima Island, Japan, which is about 56km away, so it is a famous tourist attraction representing Busan and has been a popular place for citizens and tourists since ancient times.
Since it was used as a military fortress for a long time since the Japanese colonial period, access to the area was restricted for the general public, but it was later recognized as a tourist attraction, a nationally designated cultural property, and a national geological park.
2 Tourist tips when visiting
This is located in Busan, the second largest city in Korea, and is located on the southern side of an island called Yeongdo.
It is well known as a place for Busan citizens to go on weekends, and you can walk along the beach while feeling the cool sea breeze.
However, the distance from the entrance to the observatory is quite far (3.7km), so it is difficult to walk, so a small tourist train (Danubi Train) runs from the entrance to the observatory. There is a bus that goes directly from Busan Station, and if you take a taxi, it will cost about 20,000 won.
There are many seafood shops at the entrance, and the restaurants in the restaurant area also have delicious food, including grilled clams.
For accommodation, you can use 5-star hotels, regular hotels, and motels in Busan.
