Evaluating and judging people is the most important thing.

You can see it in their impressions, physiognomy, and even in their gait and behavior, but in the East, it is most reasonable to judge a person’s value through ‘shin (behavior)’, ‘eon (speech)’, ‘seo (writing)’, and ‘pan (judgment)’.
When considering the members of a society or organization as a group, each subset or each element must properly play its role in its position in order to function properly.
In a company that pursues profit, it is important to hire excellent employees and provide them with sufficient education and training to help them maximize their abilities.
The criteria for judging value may have changed over time, but our ancestors in the past judged based on shin-eon-seo-pan.
This can be applied in many ways, from the presidential election to the hiring of new employees at a company, or to people we meet in our daily lives.
It can be said that it is in the same context as the SWOT technique, which is the first part that must be quantitatively reviewed when establishing a new business or management strategy in a company.
I think that this Shin-eon-seo-pan, along with its own value, quantifying and numerically converting it, will help maintain human relationships along with evaluating people.

Shin-eon-seo-pan refers to the four things that have been used as criteria for evaluating people in examinations to recruit officials since ancient times: Shin, Eon, Seo, and Pan.
1 Shin (body and behavior): This refers to a person’s appearance and appearance. This is the first evaluation criterion when meeting a person for the first time. No matter how high a position or how talented a person is, if their appearance and appearance are not outstanding at first sight, they are likely not to receive a fair evaluation. Therefore, it was required to have the dignity of ‘Shin’.
2 Eon (speech and speaking skills): This refers to a person’s speech. This is also true when meeting someone for the first time, no matter how deep and knowledgeable they are, if their words are incoherent and unclear, they are likely to not receive a fair evaluation.
3 Seo (writing and writing ability): This refers to writing (handwriting). Since ancient times, writing has been considered very important because it tells the character of a person. Therefore, writing has been very important in evaluating a person, and those who are not good at writing are not evaluated as much.
4 Pan (thinking and judgment): This refers to the ability to understand the principles of a person, that is, the principles of things. No matter how good a person is in appearance, how well they speak, and how good they are at writing, if they do not have the ability to understand the principles of things, their character cannot be outstanding.
These four conditions were called ‘Sin-eon-seo-pan’, and it is said that those who had all of these were given the highest priority and then promoted after considering their performance.
This standard for hiring is still applied today. However, it is difficult to find a person who has all of these.
That may be why today’s HR managers are facing increasing difficulties.
